In the Data Load section, the system empowers users to efficiently manage and maintain their General Ledger (GL) codes.

  • Search for GL Codes: A search functionality is available to quickly locate specific GL codes within the system. This feature is especially valuable when dealing with large lists of codes. Simply enter a keyword or code fragment to filter and find the desired GL code.

  • Add New GL Codes: The system allows users to add new GL codes as needed. This ensures that the GL code structure remains up-to-date and accommodates any changes in the company's financial tracking requirements.

  • Export to Excel: Recognizing that companies often have extensive GL code lists, an export feature is conveniently located at the bottom left side of the section. This feature enables users to download all GL codes into an Excel file. This facilitates offline analysis, reporting, or integration with other financial systems.

Adding a GL Code

The "Add" option provides a simple and intuitive way to create new GL codes within the system.

To successfully add a new GL code, users need to provide the following essential details:

  • GL Code Name: Enter a concise and descriptive name for the GL code. This name should clearly reflect the type of transactions or accounts that will be associated with this code.

  • Company: Select the company or entity to which this GL code will apply. This ensures that the code is properly linked to the relevant financial records.
